Rehearsals are well underway for Chadsgrove's very own production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet! It will be performed at the Artrix Theatre in Bromsgrove on Thursday 16 October 2008, and we are doing an extra performance at school on Wednesday 22 October.

Our performance is part of the UK-wide Shakespeare Schools Festival in which four different 30 minute plays will be performed throughout 57 theatres across the country. The 20 upper-school pupils taking part are all very excited, and our behind-the-scene teams are working hard to prepare the costumes and props.

Just 4 weeks before the performance we enjoyed taking part in a Shakespeare Schools Festival Cast Workshop led by members of the National Youth Theatre. Working with pupils from Prince Henry's High School in Evesham we spent an exciting day visiting the theatre where we will perform, and developing our acting skills through fun games and team-building exercises.
