On the last Wednesday in April, 5 pupils headed to Redditch to visit a pupil who is unable to attend school. As always it was great to see her and we had a wonderful time. We sang some fun songs and she loved listening to her friends sing.

During Friday afternoon Options Sessions in Upper School in the Spring Term of 2008, 7 pupils worked together to prepare a collection of songs to perform in front of an audience of their choice. The group decided that they would like to go busking at Bromsgrove Methodist Centre. The 7 buskers rehearsed 11 songs in total and then went busking on Wednesday 19 March. We were watched by a keen audience and really enjoyed ourselves!

The Chadsgrove School Choir were delighted to have the opportunity to record the Comic Relief track 'Make Someone Happy' in a recording studio at Loughborough University. On the morning of Tuesday 4 December 2007 14 pupils travelled to the university campus to make the recording. It will be used as a backing track for a Youth Sport Trust DVD to promote disability sport. In the afternoon we went to Nottingham to perform the song at the annual Special Schools Sports Conference. It was an exciting day and all pupils involved performed brilliantly and were a real credit to both the school and their families!

At Chadsgrove School we have a SoundBeam which enables pupils with limited movement to make music. This beam of ultrasonic pulses is interrupted by the slightest of movements - a signal is sent to an electronic musical instrument and converted into sound! Here are some pictures of us experimenting with the SoundBeam and making great music!
